iQFoil International Games #4 at Circolo Surf Torbole - Day 4

by Elena Giolai 24 Sep 2022 18:06 BST

As predicted, the penultimate day of the iQFoil International Games was not a good one in terms of wind and racing: grey weather reigned throughout the day and, despite trying to go out and race twice (once with a southerly wind and once with a northerly wind in the early afternoon), the little wind that did arrive ended early and did not allow racing.

Thanks are due to the Race Committee (and the posaboe staff) who at the first gust of wind, first from the south and then from the north, tried to position the race course for the slalom, giving the men's fleet a start in the afternoon. So it was a day with nothing for the racers, but not for the Race Officials staff, who were always on the water monitoring the course. Sunday medal series for the top 10.
