Parkstone Yacht Club, as organisers of the Poole Bay Autumn Series, are delighted to announce that Salcombe Distillery Co. will be title sponsors for the series, which runs from October 2nd to December 11th.

It is particularly fitting that Salcombe Distilling Co. is sponsoring the series, noting the company's nautical heritage. It is one of the very few waterside-located distilleries in the world, directly accessible by boat! The company donates 1% of UK bottles sales revenue, to the Marine Conservation Society to help fund projects to protect and regenerate vital marine habitats.

The format of the series has been refined this year, with two races being held on each of the nine Sundays, with the first start inside the harbour at 10:05. Yachts will then race through the harbour entrance and out into the bay, using a number of the fixed racing marks, before finishing on a committee boat line. The second race will then start from the same line, using fixed and laid marks to ensure proper beats are provided. The aim is to complete racing by around 12:30, to allow crews to enjoy some well-earned refreshment back at Parkstone Yacht Club's excellent clubhouse.
