Reflecting growing business demand, BWA Yachting, the international agency providing a full range of marine services to the superyacht industry, has announced the official opening of its new offices in Egypt.

Through the head office in Alexandria and branches in Cairo, Port Said, Damietta, Suez, Sokhna and Safaga, the agency operations can cover over 13 ports and marinas across the Red Sea and Mediterranean coastline, including Alamein, Marassi, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Gouna, Marsa Alam and Nouebah.

Through a partnership with KADMAR, the leading port and Suez Canal agent in Egypt, the team is able to take the administrative burden off captains and management companies by offering the following services:

Suez Canal Transit - Bunkering - Fresh Provision & Supplies - Husbandry services - Spare parts delivery - Port & Marina arrangements - Anti-Piracy Security services - Parcel & Courier Services - Freight Handling - Bank Transactions - Berth Reservations - Crew assist (Air Ticketing, Airport Assistance, Hotel booking, Transportation, Shore Passes, Travel Arrangements) - Cruising, Customs, Immigration Procedure - Technical Services & Support - Tourism Arrangements - Exclusive Excursions - VIP Concierge Services - Itinerary Planning - On-board Entertainment - Hotel & Restaurant Reservations - Travel & Transportation.

"Egypt was a natural choice for us in our quest to provide seamless inter-country assistance to our clients cruising from and to the Mediterranean through the gateway of the Suez Canal," said BWA Yachting COO Nikolaos Patsiokas. He added: "While our main goal locally is to ensure that our clients receive the premium and timely service they are accustomed to at BWA Yachting across the country, the top priority is to simplify the complex process of the Suez Canal transiting."

It's an 11-hour journey along the 120-mile Suez Canal waterway connecting the Mediterranean and Red Seas from Port Said in the north to the city of Suez in the south. There are no locks - the two seas are on the same level - and the scenery on either side is a stunning contrast. The small towns and fertile farmlands of the Nile Delta along the Canal's western side. On its eastern bank is the dusty, rugged desert of the Sinai Peninsula.

The well-trained BWA Yachting Egypt representatives are dedicated to take off any burden from the yacht's arrival until clearing the Canal, ensuring the whole process is carried out in a professional manner.

Mahmoud El Kady, Managing Partner of BWA Yachting Egypt, explained: "Passing the Suez Canal has an important time and cost impact on a vessel's voyage. Precise planning, early notification, constant follow-up, and real cost control are needed to save time and money." He continued: "Through BWA Yachting offices in Port Said and Suez, a selected team monitors the traffic situation daily 24/7, tracks vessels at anchor and in transit, while our operation team reports and keeps a close eye till the Canal is safely cleared."

With the Red Sea Week coming up soon, the world's number one invitation-only yacht event celebrating culture within the breathtaking reserve on the Red Sea, being supported by a trusted local yacht agent can make all the difference.
