The Swedish Championship was once again a close and tough match, just as it should be at the highlight of the year in the RS Aero and RS Tera classes. A fantastic turnout of 44 RS Aeros entered, as well as 23 RS Tera Sport!

A total of six races were sailed. The competition organized good courses on Ljungskileviken, a short sailing distance from the LjSS clubhouse, which made the sailing easy to spectate from the land.

Saturday's 2 races offered very weak winds and rain. Sunday's 4 races challenged the sailors' skills with shifting winds of 4-6m/s from the North. Both classes sailed on the same course, where RS Tera sailed two laps and RS Aero three laps.

The RS Aero class with all 4 different sail sizes RS Aero 5,6,7,9 represented sailed together with SRS corrected time calculation which calculates the handicap total based on the sailing time. On Saturday there was an advantage for the larger sailed RS Aero 9 in the light breeze, but on Sunday the younger sailors climbed the rankings with their RS Aero 5 sails.

The Swedish RS Aero & Tera Class and all the sailors thank LjSS, who together arranged a good championship and in true RS Aero and Tera spirit. Aftersail on both days with hamburgers and pasta bolognese was also a much appreciated feature and enhances the pleasant atmosphere on land after the race.
