Illusion Inland Championship at Middle Nene Sailing Club

by Wilf Kunze 3 Sep 2022 20:51 BST 3 September 2022

For the third time Middle Nene SC held the Illusion Open Meeting and Inland Championship on 3rd September 2022. A small fleet of six boats joined in the racing which comprised two triangle and two windward/leeward courses, sailed in light to moderate winds.

With all competitors being very active Illusion sailors in well-tuned boats, the racing was close throughout the day, sometimes with a photo finish.

Congratulations go to Matt Yallop (GBR 16) who defended the coveted glass trophy for the Illusion National Champion for the second year running, with Wilf Kunze (GBR 108) and Tony Wright (GBR 82) placed second and third respectively.

The trophy was presented to Matt by Race Officer Mark Greer who handled the competition with great competence.
