The UK Folkboat Association International Regatta sponsored by Spencers of The New Forest, incorporating the UK Nordic Folkboat Championships, the Walcon Cup & Sessan Cup 2022, supported by Yacht Havens, Walcon Marine, SoResource Management & Folkboats UK.

With just over two weeks to go, entries have been coming in for the UK Folkboat Association International Regatta, with some 24 boats now confirmed including 7 overseas entries from Denmark and Germany.

The event will be held over five days of racing in Christchurch Bay between September 17th and 22nd, hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and sponsored by Spencers of the New Forest.

This will be the first time that the Sessan Cup has been held in a country outside the Baltic, and the teams from Denmark and Germany are among the top keelboat sailors in their respective countries. Competition will be of the highest quality and it will be of great interest to see how the UK fleet measures up to the challenge!

The Royal Lymington Yacht Club is delighted to have been asked to organise this regatta which is a highlight of the Club’s Centenary Year. Preparations are in hand to ensure that the event runs smoothly with excellent racing and a full social program for the competitors.

These attractive racing yachts will make a fine spectacle for holidaymakers on the beaches around Christchurch Bay.
