Viking Yachts 46 Billfish

by Viking Yachts 24 Aug 2022 23:37 BST

The 46 Billfish is a straightforward fish-and-cruise purpose-built Viking that stresses ease of operation and maintenance so you can spend the maximum amount of time on the water. Meant to be on the move and ready to go, there's really nothing else like the 46 Billfish on the market. But the 46 BF is also engineered and built with all the technology, style, accessories, accommodations and performance of a Viking thoroughbred. For example, like any other Viking, this model's fishability can be heightened with the addition of a custom Palm Beach Towers tuna owner.

Owners of the 46 BF also have the ability to dress up their boat with the same popular enhancements that are offered for our convertibles, such as teak cockpits and faux transoms.

The Billfish is offered with four engine packages from three manufacturers (Cummins, MAN and Scania). The Scania 900s (above) are offered through Mack Boring in Somerset, New Jersey, (the eastern U.S. distributor for Scania). Below is Mack Boring's Mack 900 46 Billfish demo boat, which has been featured at boat shows and continues to be very active on the sportfishing circuit, fishing nine tournaments since July of 2021.

This 46 Billfish was purchased as a testing platform by the Viking and Valhalla Boatworks vendor Gemlux. One of the major products being put through its paces is Gemlux's internally rigged sportfish carbon fiber outriggers. Read all about it in the summer issue of Valhalla magazine.
