Day 2, sponsored by Pinnell and Bax, brought another south-westerly wind, this time a little fresher for race 1 of the day with gusts getting up to 14kts.

Dave Jackman and Craig Wheatley followed Darren and Hayley Roach early out of the gate to lead at the windward mark. The Roaches managed a quick roll over the top to take off on the reach whilst Dave and Craig fought it out with the chasing pack.

Matt and Ivan Jaycock showed their lightening pace downwind to pull away, hot on the heels of the leaders. Whilst the Roaches and Jaycock's extended, the next pack enjoyed some very close racing with plenty of position changes. It was the ever green Phil Ford and Jane Humpage who came through to take 3rd with Jeremy and Becca Stephens in close 4th.

Race 4 of the championship saw some tricky conditions with the windward mark layed in close to land there were some big shifts to be gained upwind. The wind dropped throughout and with the chop still running it was a tough day for lake sailors!

The first beat was fairly even with Ann Jackson and Alan Skeens heading out to the right whilst others, played left. Darren and Hayley lead at the windward mark and held the lead throughout to take their fourth bullet, despite the best efforts of the local fishing boat who cut across their bow at spitting distance.

Ann and Alan covered well to keep the chasing boats at bay. Phil and Jane secured another 3rd with Martin Honour and Isobel Hedley-Fenn having a duel throughout the race with Jeremy and Becca. It was a photo finish on the line, with the Stephens just losing out.

8-10kts forecast for tomorrow and all to play for in the results.
