2022 Allen OK National Championship at Herne Bay Sailing Club - Day 1

by Karen Robertson 15 Jul 2022 09:39 BST 14-17 July 2022

What a cracking first day at the Allen Sailing OK National Championship which is being hosted by Herne Bay SC. After two races its very tight at the top with two boats on 6 points apiece and three boats right behind them on 8 points each.

PRO Ben Falat managed the tricky conditions well and after a delay to let the breeze settle, squeezed the second race of the day in before low tide would have stopped play.

With two time World Champion Jim Hunt arriving to join the fleet on day two it's very much all to play for.
