  • 8 trophies
  • 17 memento awards
  • 10 book vouchers
  • 22 smaller Rooster prizes
  • 21 larger Rooster prizes
  • 2000 Class gifts for all juniors
  • Travel mugs for all first timers
  • Miscellaneous beer prizes from our Brewery Sponsor
We hope our sailors are as excited as our sponsors are about the 2022 Nationals Championship at Weymouth starting on August 14th. Certainly judging by their logo the Official Beer the Cerne Abbas Brewery is massively excited by the prospect!

Cerne Abbas's founder Mark Richardson is a 2000 sailor at our venue Castle Cove SC Weymouth and taking part at the Championship. Without dissing anyone, its very likely Cerne Abbas will be enthusiastically and frequently endorsed by our 2000 sailors. But I'm thinking Jonny Hepworth; Laura Holmes-Short.

Title Sponsors Astral Azure Limited are an aviation engineering and management consultancy and their founder Mike McEwing is a keen 2000 racer.

Big name UK sailing brands are also pitching in with sponsorship, and we're sure you already know:

  • Rooster - everything to wear when sailing, and usually lots of great products you didn't even know existed until you check out their website.

  • Noble Marine Insurance - get the best cover and the best prices and when you need them, service is faultless.

  • Fernhurst Books - improve improve improve. In their own words, if its something that gets you wet then they have a book on doing it, and doing it better!
What do our sponsors bring to the championships? Well they provide great prizes and fund a superior event. The Class Association's mission is to get people sailing and get people sailing better - and to encourage this our sponsors provide prizes right throughout the fleet in these for these categories:

There will be daily support and advice available, as well as 3 coaching debrief sessions run by professional coaches. Race categories will be in place for various standards of sailors, with prizes for:

  • Newcomer Fleet (new to National Championships)
  • Family Junior Fleet (family teams with one person under 16)
  • Silver Fleet
  • Gold Fleet
Check out all our sponsors on the 2000Class website here.

There's still time to enter!
