Just announced is a new partnership between Sailingfast, ASC Portland and ASC Performance Academy.

Perfect partnership

As the main supplier of the popular foiling WASZP in the UK, Sailingfast are perfectly placed to encourage more people to experience foiling. Sailingfast also supplies ILCA products, keeping ASC's ILCA's in top notch condition, so the partnership is an easy step.

Working closely with the ASC Performance Academy, they will keep the Andrew Simpson Centres at the forefront of the new generation of foiling in the UK. All Andrew Simpson Centres (ASC) are not-for-profit so everything surplus to the running costs of the Centres goes back into the Andrew Simpson Foundation (ASF) to support them in their work to transform lives through sailing. The Portland Centre, at the heart of foiling in the UK, is the ideal venue to launch the initiative.

Alex Porter, Centre Manager ASC Portland and Director of Andrew Simpson Centres, said:

"Having a world class sailing venue on the doorstep of our Portland Centre, we've seen the evolution of foiling first hand. With Sailingfast being at the forefront of foiling in the UK, it was essential that a partnership be formed for the many up-and-coming sailors that we see passing through our door at the Portland Centre and to give them an experience of foiling"

Foiling in the future

"Foiling is already proving it will be a key element in the future of performance sailing and racing. We believe that giving sailors the opportunity to experience foiling in a positive learning environment is the key to quick progression and future engagement. The ASC Performance Academy is looking forward to working alongside Sailingfast to offer WASZP taster sessions and get more sailors into Sailfoiling."

James Parker-Mowbray, ASC Performance Academy Manager.

WASZP foiling is now open for demos via the ASC Performance Academy. For more details get in touch with the team, either on enquiries@ascperformancacademy.org or the contact page on the website: ascperformanceacademy.org/contact
