Fresh from record breaking performances in Europe including taking Line Honours in the 2022 RORC Transatlantic Race from Lanzarote to Grenada and breaking the monohull race record (2 days faster than the previous record), Andoo Comanche will target several races in 2022 culminating in the Blue Water classic - Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Andoo Comanche was constructed in carbon fibre by American builder Hodgson and designed by VPLP/Verdier Maxi in 2014. Since then, her achievements have been numerous:
• 2015 Line Honours in the Fastnet Race
• 2015 Monohull 24 Hour Distance Record, 620 nautical miles
• 2015 Sydney to Hobart Line Honours
• 2016 Transatlantic Monohull Sailing Record (West to East) 5 days, 14 hours, 21 minutes,and 25 seconds
• 2017 Sydney to Hobart Line Honours and Race Record (1 day, 9 hours, 15 minutes, and 24 seconds)
• 2019 Sydney to Hobart Line Honours
• 2021 Rolex Middle Sea Race Line Honours, Overall Winner and Monohull Race Record (40 hours, 17 minutes, and 50 seconds)
• 2022 RORC Transatlantic Monohull Line Honours, Overall Winner, Monohull Race Record (East to West) 7 days, 22 hours, 1 minute and 4 seconds

John 'Herman' Winning, 18foot Skiff Champion and Skipper of Andoo Comanche said “It’s great to have one of, if not the world’s fastest monhull yachts back to compete in Australia. Andoo Comanche is synonymous with everything that we stand for at Andoo from performance to sustainability and beyond. We can’t wait to get on the start line in July.”

Iain Murray AM, Olympic and America’s Cup sailor, and Andoo Comanche Sailing Master commented “Andoo Comanche has proven to be the most spectacular racing monohull the world has seen. It’s a dream to bring her back into competition with the other 100ft yachts; Blackjack, Wild Oats XI, Law Connect, and Scallywag. The marriage of Andoo and Comanche will combine skill, technology, and experience to generate the incredible performance she is capable of. We can’t wait to hoist her racing wardrobe and light her up next month.”

Andoo Comanche is the latest high performance sailing team to carry the Andoo moniker, with the Andoo 18ft Skiff Racing Team winning the JJ Giltinan World Title earlier this year, crewed by Seve Jarvin, Matt Stenta and Sam Newton. Andoo’s commitment to youth sailing and development continues with the announcement of a new 3-year partnership in the 29er class with Joel Beashel, son of America’s Cup and World Champion sailor Adam Beashel.
