2022 Hansa TT at Burghfield Sailing Club

by David Martin 7 Jun 2022 17:42 BST 4 June 2022

A wet and very windy day welcomed thirteen Hansa sailors and their supporters from six visiting clubs on Saturday 4th June. Some arrived on the Friday afternoon to drop off their boats and were able to have a cup of coffee in the Sailability Building after their journey.

Racing started at 11.30 with two races before lunch and two further races after. Entries had a good spread across all four classes with between 2 and 4 in each class. All races were completed as the competitors successfully battled through the blustery and changeable conditions. Despite several gasps from spectators, all the sailors managed to stay in their boats albeit getting a little wet during the gusts of wind.

The afternoon concluded with a very welcome tea and cakes followed by the prize-giving.
