The Streaker class's two major travellers series, the P&B Northern Paddle and the North Sails Southern Paddle series, are now well under way.

In both cases, it's races that count rather than overall event results, and for final placings you count your best ten race results. After three open meetings, Giles Therkelson-Smith of Welton SC is the early leader of the Northern series but he'll have to watch out for Martin Penty (Beaver SC) who already has six race wins on his score card.

Meanwhile, in the south, no-one's dominating the series yet; Veronica Falat (Waveney & Oulton Broad YC) is leading but Simon Cory picked up race wins at his home club (Downs SC) last weekend and Colin Staite (Bartley SC) did well in the first two opens of the series.

The Streaker class is extremely fortunate in having the support of two top sailmakers for these series: Pinnell & Bax supporting the Northern Series and North Sails supporting the Southern. This means that, at the end of each series, there's a sail to be won in a prize draw - the more races you compete in, the more draw tickets you have.

The winner of the Pinnell & Bax sail at the end of the 2021 Northern Paddle series was Richard Brook from Ripon SC and he's already making good use of it. Simon Herrington (Downs SC) was the winner of the North Sails sail for the 2021 Southern Paddle and is seen here being presented with it by class secretary Veronica Falat.

The class would like to thank Pinnell & Bax and North Sails for their continued support and involvement.

The next events in these series will both be on June 11th at Shotwick Lake SC in the Northern Paddle and Oulton Broad in the Southern.

Full details and results of Streaker events can be found on the class website at www.streaker-class.org.uk
