Registration is closed and the field is set for college fishing's longest running bass angling competition, the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops, to be held May 26-27.

This is the 17th year the event will draw hundreds of college students from around the country vying for $30,000 in cash, prizes and contingencies.

If the student happens to have a vessel breakdown, run aground or accidentally run out gas, the nation's largest on-water recreational boat towing fleet, TowBoatUS, will be there to ensure competitors don't miss weigh-in.

With nearly 200 boats and 400 student competitors, the BoatUS competition is the pinnacle event of the season for the Association of Collegiate Anglers, the first organization to offer no-entry-fee tournaments for college students. Today, the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops has the largest national television reach and media coverage of any college bass fishing event in the U.S. This year's Pickwick Lake action will air in late summer on Outdoor Action TV, one of the largest on-line streaming platforms for outdoor programming. It will also air on Pursuit Channel, World Fishing Network, and other regional networks in the fall.

Daily results and videos can be found here.

The event kicks off May 24 at McFarland Park in Florence with an angler appreciation event and a star-studded angler and sponsor banquet May 25 before the competitor fleet heads out for two days of nation's best bass fishing on Pickwick Lake which runs 50 miles from Wilson Dam in Florence, Alabama, to Pickwick Dam in Tennessee. Teams will also be competing for valuable points that count toward Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.
