2022 Marblehead RM Ranking 1 at Norwich Model Yacht Club

by Duncan Ellis 21 Mar 2022 15:09 GMT 19 March 2022

Norwich Model Yacht Club hosted the first Marblehead ranking event of 2022 on Saturday 19th March with Vinnie Zammit, Graham Nelson and Val Zammit taking charge.

The wind was blowing from the east ranging from 15-25 knots with wall-to-wall sunshine, although because of the wind direction still required winter clothing!

10 sailors took part with sailors travelling from as far as Yeovil and Scarborough.

Rig choice started with B and C rigs and as the day progressed progression to the C2.

As the day finished 4 sailors had race wins under their belts with Graham Bantock with the most.

17 races were completed in total with Graham Bantock taking the day from Chelmsford followed by local Duncan Ellis, Austin Guerrier from Datchet and Tony Edwards from Yeovil.

A great day's sailing with no rain for once!
