With a whole stage dedicated to watersports, courses for all ages and the sport's most respected personalities on hand all weekend, you'll leave the show ready to hit the water, however you like to get afloat...

On the Watersports Stage

New for 2022 is the Watersports Stage hosted by windsurfing legend Peter Hart with sessions all weekend for beginners and pros alike. Here are some of the highlights:

Foiling instructor James Hardy is sharing all the information you need to get started in wingsurfing and the more advanced wingfoiling, the latest crazes to hit our waters! (All about winging 14:00).

For windsurfing beginners, join Peter Hart and RYA OnBoard's Hannah Cockle for The Ultimate Beginners Guide, 13:00) with clothing and kit recommendations and advice on rigging and technique.

From entry level kit to staying safe on the water, beginners can learn the foiling fundamentals at midday with James Hardy (All about windfoiling- let's take flight, 12:00). Whilst those looking to progress can have their burning questions answered on everything from flight control to fully foiling jibes (Windfoiling ask the expert, 12:30).

You can also become a paddleboard pro with expert advice with Brendon Prince and Emma Hepplewhite including essential kit tips and techniques for paddling in different conditions and locations (Paddleboarding top tips, 15:30).

Take flight with RYA Training

Taking an RYA course is one of the quickest and easiest ways to get started or progress on the water. Following the introduction of foiling courses in 2019, the RYA will be officially launching its new Wing training scheme at 11am, Saturday on the Watersports Stage.

The four progressive courses are aimed at introducing complete beginners to wingsurfing and developing the skills needed to wingfoil with confidence.

RYA Training experts will be on hand all weekend with information and advice on windsurfing, winging and sailing courses for all ages and abilities.

Also around the show

If you're looking to upgrade your windsurfing and winging kit, drop by The Official Test Centre (OTC) on stand W40 where you'll find a wide range of windsurfing, winging & foiling kit for all ages. Their friendly team will be around all show to answer your questions from choosing the right kit for you to how to start or progress with your sailing this year.

Did you know that RYA members can benefit from free third-party insurance for windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing and wingsurfing? Ask the RYA membership team for more information on stand A50/A10 (*terms and conditions apply).

Visitors of all ages can also jump on board the windsurfing simulator (next to the watersports stage) and experience the thrill of the sport under the watchful eye of an instructor, without getting wet.

Don't miss it

The RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show will host over 100 exhibitors including class associations, boat builders, holiday companies and some of the biggest names in marine retail. Exhibitors signed up include RS Sailing, Rooster, Musto, Harken and the RNLI.

There's also plenty to inspire and entertain all ages including simulators, activity pool and plenty of competitions. Best of all kids go FREE all weekend!
