After a Covid gap the Midlands mini series is back. The inter club event encourages members to visit other clubs and provide some winter sailing at a venue nearby. The first one is at Notts County at the end of January.

This year four clubs are taking part additional details are on each website:

  • 29th - 30th January - County Cooler
    Notts County SC Hoveringham Water
    www.ncsc.org.uk
  • 12th - 13th February - Burton Blizzard
    Burton SC on Foremark reservoir
    www.burtonsailingclub.co.uk
  • 19th - 20th February - Staunton Winter Blaster
Staunton Harold SC on the reservoir

  • 26th - 27th February - Ogston Wooley Jumper
    Ogston SC on the reservoir

All the venues have showers, a club room, and food available, at present very few Covid restrictions apply to outdoor sports - obviously things may change but we are hoping not, please check websites in case of any changes or venue requirements.

All are welcome and to encourage entry any members of the participating clubs have free entry at all the four events. Other entrants are very welcome and the entry fees per weekend are £20 per Adult double handed boat for 2 days, £14 per Adult single-handed boat for 2 days, £15 per Adult double handed boat for 1 day, £8 per Adult single-handed boat for 1 day - Junior entry half these fees

The program at each event is Handicap racing (PY 902 and above) with one Pursuit race (weather permitting) & four Average lap races each weekend. There will also be a Windsurfer start at Notts County and Burton SC. Results for series are calculated at the end.

Briefings 10.45am Saturday. Check Club NOR's & SI's for exact details via their websites (see above).

We hope that as many midlands sailors will join us as possible.
