Bonomi SRL, a Milan based manufacturer, have chosen Technical Marine Supplies as their sole UK and Ireland distribution partner for their "Joy", Self-Tailing Cleat.

A DAME Award category winner at METS 2021, the Joy cleat allows effortless tensioning of the mooring lines by way of a motorised rope gypsy incorporated into the foot of the cleat.

Suitable for vessels of 50' and above, the supplied 12v or 24v motor is controlled by way of an IP rated foot switch and offers a choice of either 100 or 300 kg working load.

Vertical motor options are also available for stern mounted cleats on motorboats.

The beautiful, polished finish on the 316 stainless steel cleat will complement any deck, where maintaining line tension without the need of any additional locking device or action is critical without causing injury to the operator.

Bonomi are pleased to secure TMS as their route to market in the UK and Ireland.

"To have Technical Marine Supplies who are recognised as a highly technical and competent distributor by our friends in Italy is a welcome and very positive step in a very demanding climate" they said. Nick Cook, Senior Sales Manager for TMS added "We are looking forward to taking these fantastic problem-solving products to our OEM and refit market, and have 2 working displays in action in the UK already."
