The annual Frensham Frenzy Open takes place this year on Saturday 13th November 2021.
Moved from its traditional March data, an ideal warm up to winter sailing, the Frenzy comprises two pursuit races, for monohulls under 16ft hull length and with Portsmouth Numbers between 940 and 1445 (broadly RS400 to Cadet or RS Tera Sport).
The first start for the slowest boats will at 10:30 with a break ashore for lunch followed by the second race. Race duration is based on 75 minutes for an Enterprise.
Courses will use up to 9 of the club's yellow and red marks, providing a range of beats and downwind angles. Launching is straight-forward: no wet feet required regardless of wind direction.
Competition is invariably hot, which combined with Frensham's famously challenging conditions guarantees great racing; it's truly never over until it's over on the Pond.
Entries numbers are limited to 50 - you can register on-line simply.
The formal Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions can be found on www.sailfrensham.org.uk
