Blithfield Sailing club are all geared up ready to welcome everyone back for the 21/22 Blithfield Barrel.

We are really looking forward to welcoming our friends from around the Midlands & further afield as we kick off the first round of this favourite winter warmer event 'The Blithfield Barrel'. Come and race at one of the best sailing waters in the Midlands at an event which never fails to impress!! There is lots of quality racing to be had, so get your steamer and hot socks ready to take part.

The bar is stocked; the food is ordered & most importantly the showers are toasty! The format is the same tried and tested formula. The racing starts on 21st November, continuing 12th December, round 3 will be on 9th January and finishing on February 6th. Enjoy 2 races per day with each event running as a one-off open meeting with spot prizes after each round or do all 4 for the main Barrel series. Make sure the dates are in your diary! Prizes will be spread throughout the fleets, thanks to this year's generous sponsors Hartley Boats & Birmingham Dinghy Services and Chandlery.

Blithfield has a reputation for running successful prestigious events such as Ospreys, Lasers, Larks, Supernovas and Merlin Rockets, and have honed their hosting and race management skills to the max. There will be 8 races in total with 6 to count, briefing at 11:15, race starts scheduled for 12:00 and 14:00 each day. The Barrel always attracts some of the best competition in the area/county.
