Vaikobi's exciting new youth collection has just hit the rack, with all the best gear for 9-14 year-olds who are at the beginning of their sailing journeys.

Available now through your local sailing retailer and online, the collection promises to deliver the ultimate comfort experience; decking juniors out with all the essentials needed to get out on the water and have a great time!

Sustaining participation in watersports with extended exposure to the elements can be a huge challenge for kids, parents, and coaches. Vaikobi's new range seeks to address these challenges and is on a mission to provide more gear options for kids across a larger range of conditions.

Vaikobi Founder Pat Langley, knows all about the necessary gear to guarantee the best day out on the water for young kids, with two young sailors in his family being very active in junior sailing. "We are going through the sailing journey with our kids right now and we know what items they need the most over the spring, summer and autumn months. We're passionate about covering all the comfortable essentials while providing good value for parents and teams" he said.

With Vaikobi's evolving expansion in sailing, the Junior market is an important one for the Vaikobi brand who understands the importance of getting kids to love the sport at an early age. Having the right gear is a very important part of the sailing experience.

Headlining the range is the Vaikobi youth Hydroflex top, made from a thick Hydro fleece, designed to keep kids warm without over heating or feeling restricted. The top has a super lightweight construction made from hollow-yarn fabric and is easy to put on and take off.

The collection also includes the 1.5mm youth neoprene pants from the highly successful, best-selling Flexforce range. Unlike traditional wetsuits, our Flexforce technology dictates the right amount of stretch in critical areas for movability and easy exit and entry. They are reinforced with abrasion-resistant knees and seat panels that will endure significant friction without wear and tear.

Sun protection is also a huge factor to consider when purchasing watersports clothing for kids. The high necked UV certified rashie for kids and teens provides maximum coverage. Its long sleeves and super soft, lightweight qualities make it hardly noticeable, even on the hottest summer day.

Vaikobi's VX Race PFD Lifejackets in sizes XS and S are suitable for juniors, certified at ISO 12402-5 buoyancy (50N). With a sleek, elongated profile and side entry, youngsters will have the safest, lightest, and best-fitted life jacket for sailing while matching their older athlete role models.

Capping off the Youth Range is the new Vaikobi's new youth flat-brim snap back caps which have been super popular with the over the past few season. After all, the kids just have to have a cool looking lid!!!

Coming soon is the brand new Vaikobi dinghy boots range in low and high-cut designs which will hit shelves in November 2021, and start from a size 5.
