Presenting, the Boat Builders series - another film project we have produced which features some of our world-class Tasmanian Boat Builders. After the success of our Maritime Trail event in April, we could see how everyone really enjoyed getting a peek behind-the-scenes and meet the wonderful folks who normally work behind closed doors.

So, here is the first of a series of 5 Boat Builders videos, shining the light on the work of passionate boatbuilders who create and restore the very boats we celebrate at each Australian Wooden Boat Festival.

Wilson's Boat Yard is situated in Gardner's Bay, Tasmania and was established in 1863, making it one of Australia's oldest continually operating boat building businesses. The waterfront shed has seen many ships come and go and we sat down with Jay Lawry to talk about some of them.

AWBF thanks Wilson's Boat Yard, ATL Composites/West System and Rummin for working with us to produce this film.
