Quick! Get your entry in for the Wetsuit Outlet 2021 UK Moth Nationals taking place at Stokes Bay Sailing Club between 12th - 15th August.

Depending on the weather, twelve races are planned across the four days of racing in Stokes Bay (fingers crossed for 15 knots and sunshine).

Last year, the Wetsuit Outlet 2020 Moth Nationals saw a whopping 70 entries down in Weymouth. This year entries are uncapped and due to Covid restrictions now easing we can't wait to see as many of you there as possible. With the 2021 Moth worlds in Malcesine approaching on 31st August, the Wetsuit Outlet UK Moth Nationals will be the perfect event for you to get some practice in beforehand.

Stokes Bay has a great galley and bar for sailors to hang out in after racing. But that's not all...

  • Entry includes a meal for each entrant on 2 evenings and pasta with a beer after racing on the other two nights.
  • Hot food and beverages will be available at the club during the day.
  • Free camping is available for small tents inside the compound.
  • An incredible £2,000 worth of prizes are available thanks to the sponsor, Wetsuit Outlet.
  • Maguire Boats will be on hand to service and repair boats throughout the event.
If you're worried about Covid restrictions, don't be. Refunds will be given in full up to the day before the start of the event if a competitor is not able to take part due to any Covid travel restrictions.

Paul Williams, Managing Director of Wetsuit Outlet had these words to say about their title sponsorship of the event:

"Wetsuit Outlet is delighted to return again this year as the lead sponsor of the Moth Nationals. As the largest online retailer of premium performance sailing brands, such as Zhik and Gill, it's a perfect association to be involved in the all-action Moth class."

"Over the last 17 years, Wetsuit Outlet has grown to be Europe's biggest dinghy and yacht sailing retailer, supporting everyone from the leisure sailor to the serious racer, by offering the best customer service and next day delivery from our extensive stock.

"Good luck to everyone racing at the Moth Nationals and have a great event."

IMCA UK (the UK Moth Class Association for those not into acronyms) is fortunate and proud to have the support of some key sponsors who we'd like to thank individually below:

  • Wetsuit Outlet has been the main sponsor for the Moth nationals since 2019.
  • Blueteq - as well as hosting the online entry system, they are sponsoring beer and pasta during the event.
  • Maguire Boats - Builders of the market leading Exocet Moth, Simon and the team will be on site for the whole event providing support for their four-time World Championship winning boats.
  • Ronstan - From the outset of Foiling Moths Ronstan have supplied light, strong and efficient hardware in the UK and Internationally to all level of sailors. With a range of blocks designed by sailors specifically for the class it is the choice of recent World Champions.
  • Noble Marine Insurance have been involved with the class for many years and probably provide the best service to Moth sailors when things don't go as smoothly as planned. A quick chat with the sailors in the dinghy park will reinforce this.
The class encourages Moth sailors to support our sponsors wherever possible, since they are so good at supporting us.

More Information:

We'll see you all at Stokes Bay in August, and for those who aren't (yet) Moth sailors, you'll be able to follow the action daily through the comprehensive coverage.
