The 47th annual Boothbay Harbor Regatta took place last weekend on the gorgeous coastal waters of Maine, hosted by Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club. The one-design fleet of eight J/80s enjoyed brisk competition and some J/Crews in the fifty-one boat PHRF handicap fleet earned more silverware for their weekend worth of racing.

In the eleven-boat PHRF Cruising fleet, Jeff Hamilton's J/46 Meme Chum sailed to a 2-2-3 record to take the silver medal.

A trio of J/Crews in PHRF Racing fleet occupied three of the top four slots. Carol Lloyd's J/29 Dotsy had a 2-2-3 tally to take the silver. Meanwhile, Bob Scribner's J/37 Caliente posted a 4-4-2 record to earn the bronze medal, while Anne Rand's J/27 Razzle sailed to a 3-3-4 tally to take fourth place.

In the seven-boat J/80 class, Carter White's Ghost posted all bullets to win by a country mile! Second was Kit Will's Severine with a 2-2-5-1-2 tally, then long-time J/24 sailor from the early 1980s- Geoff Emanuel- sailed his Commotion to a 3-2-2-2-4 tally to take the bronze medal!

The regatta was presented by Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club in conjunction with the marine community and support from key sponsors, Hodgdon Yachts, Bristol Marine's Shipyard at Boothbay Harbor, and many others.
