As everyone one knows the willingness to learn and share ideas are one fo the cornerstones of the success of the Musto Skiff class.
There can be few classes where the top sailors are so keen to help others have a very good bash at beating them; and to further this at Rutland Sailing Club last weekend a number of top Musto Skiff sailors honed their coaching skills under the guidance and assesement of top RYA Coach Instructor Mike Hart.
The course focused on developing the coaching skills of the sailors and also on the development of coaching methods and points specific to the Musto Skiff.
Ian Trotter the committee rep for coaching sail "All the top sailors are happy to share technique and tuning tips with other sailors and getting coaching from and expert like Mike Hart to further improve the delivery of training within the class is a excellent step".
The couse ran over 3 days and accomodated a wide range of weather conditions.
At the end of the course all of those who attended had reached the required standard to be presented with the RYA Club Racing Coach award.
