GP14 Midland Bell Round 6 at North Staffs Sailing Club

The latest round of the Midland Bell Travellers Series 2021 was held at North Staffs Sailing Club, in the heart of the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands on Saturday 10th July. A lovely little sailing club that's been around for over 60 years.

Winds were stronger than the forecast 4mph, gusting to 6mph. The OOD set a challenging course, meaning all crews had to concentrate and have their wits about them.

The event was eventually won by a boat from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club with John Telford helming and Jack Telford crewing. Second place went to Peter Thoms and his crew Dawn Frost from Nantwich and Boarders Sailing Club. Third place went to a local crew from NSSC Matt Birks and Martin Anderson.

The club made us really welcome and a thoroughly good time was had by all.
