Following an exceptionally warm and settled spell of weather over Norfolk, when ten YBODs congregated at Barton Broad on 19 June they were greeted with cold, wet weather and shifty winds. However, the welcome was warm for the three visitors.

Racing was dominated by Chris Bunn and Niki Tansley of NBYC with three wins, allowing them to sit out the last race and loan their boat to Simon and Fil Daniels. Chris and Niki took the Consortium Cup for 1st overall.

James Dugdale and Kath Fiddy, also from NBYC, sailed consistently, scoring a first and 2 seconds, to take 2nd place overall.

The home team of Simon and Fil Daniels enjoyed good competition and several place changes during the races and took 3rd place counting a 4, 3 and 2. They also received the Whelpton Trophy for first NPC boat.

An informal BBQ was held on the pontoon on Saturday night, though unfortunately the weather was not conducive for a long night of sea shanties and sipping of cocktails whilst watching a beautiful sunset.

Overall Results:

1 Chris Bunn & Niki Tansley Fox (NBYC) Consortium Cup
2 James Dugdale & Kath Fiddy Ghost (NBYC)
3 Simon & Fil Daniels Silver Blue (NPC) Whelpton Trophy
