The Bayview Mackinac Race is already planning for a huge 100th Bayview Mackinac Race in 2024, and one of the first steps is to develop a good logo for the race that will help us advertise and market the race to make it better than the 99 that have come before it.

The Bayview Mackinac Race Authority is a committee of dedicated sailors and experts in the Mackinac Race that is charged, in conjunction with the Race Chairs, with hosting the race and making sure it's the best it can be for sailors and making sure the experience before and the after the race is fun and special for the sailors and their families.

We are looking to our community to help us design a logo for the 100th Bayview Mackinac Race. We hope that this large group of sailors and race fans can develop a logo that will look good on stationery and letterhead as well as on a shirt and other promotional materials to help generate a buzz for this race. If we are going to make the best race ever, we need to get started now, and that starts, we hope, with you.

The designer of the winning logo will receive a $200 cash prize and will see their design all over the world as we work to improve the visibility of the Bayview Mackinac Race and that logo will help ensure we hold the best race we can.

The requirements for this contest are as follows:

1. Simplicity is key. This logo must look good on paper as well as on printed and embroidered apparel. Fewer colors make it easier and simpler to produce the logo. A winning design may be simple but will appear stunning and be eye catching to mark this race milestone!

2. The winning design will become property of Bayview Yacht Club. Of course, you will receive credit for the design when we announce the winner and we present you with your well-deserved cash prize for your creativity! You will be required to sign a document granting the logo rights to Bayview Yacht Club and the Mackinac Race Authority. The MRA will in turn make all reasonable efforts to promote the name of the winning designer.

3. The winning designer will indeed be awarded a prize, however, Bayview Mackinac Race reserves the right to evolve or revise the design as we see fit for our use in all required mediums.

Please submit your designs to by July 15, 2021.

Thank you for your efforts!
