The Big Fish is an excellent rope or netting cutter making it the ideal addition to the safety boats at your sailing club. The design of the Big Fish even has a shackle key located on the tail, very handy for those emergency situations.
The 9mm “mouth” opening can cut rope up to 12mm diameter with ease and would be an asset to any dinghy or yacht that uses thicker ropes. Alternatively it can be used in other sports that use ropes such as abseiling or in warehouse environments for opening packaging.
The risk of a stab or slashing injury from the knife is remote due to the design of the blade housing. It is almost impossible to cut yourself accidentally. Replacement blades are available in packs of 5.
