Europe sailors get back on the water...

by UK Europe Class Association 7 Apr 2021 06:30 BST

After a few months of off the water activity, Europe sailors around the country were keen to get back out on the water, with sailors making the most of sailing from local sailing clubs and slipways!

With an active Facebook group community surrounding the class, the group was quickly filled with photographs of boats on slipways, Strava tracks and top speeds, and several envious sailors stuck at work!

The Europe class is proud of its friendly and welcoming community, made up of some of the top Europe sailors both past and present, as well as lots of helpful sailors, all with their own experience. As sailors began to get back into their boats, many took to the Facebook group to discuss their days sailing, with others offering tips and advice. It has been great to see so many enthusiastic sailors getting back out on the water and sharing their learnings, with over 30 posts in our group in the last week.

The class is a diverse and growing fleet in the UK, with equipment customised to accommodate for a wide range of weights, ages, budgets and abilities. The class is looking forwards to its 2021 UK Europe National Championships at WPNSA in June, where we expect to see over 40 boats on the water. If you would like to join the Europe class, please feel free to explore our website, and join our UK Europe Sailors Facebook group.
