Easter Cooler at Notts County Sailing Club

by David Eberlin 6 Apr 2021 10:36 BST 4-5 April 2021

Like many clubs, the relief of getting back out sailing is palpable. Whilst casual sailing started on Monday, there were plenty wanting to get back out racing.

On Sunday 4th there were just under 50 dinghies and windsurfers out racing at Notts County, in some superb conditions, a light to moderate breeze, sunshine and 14'C - what more could you want out of an Easter Sunday.

As it was a holiday weekend racing was extended on Monday for a members only Easter Cooler, and it was certainly cold with a keen wind, or was it lazy, it certainly went straight through you!

Like many clubs we are taking Covid precautions, we are starting from the shore to allow distancing, staggering starts and so reducing crowding on shore and using online entry.

In a few weeks (22/23rd May, we intend to host our first open on 2021 with the Scorpions, the committee boat will be out, the event is always popular and we look forward to welcoming visitors, details on the club website, ncsc.org.uk, and the Scorpion website, as are more photos.
