America's Cup: Gulf Wars - Souvenir record of the 2020/21 America's Cup Regattas

A souvenir record of the regattas of the 36th America's Cup is now on sale in New Zealand, and also available for purchase by international fans.

The 50page large format publication has been compiled by Sail-World's NZ Editor and leading photo-journalist, Richard Gladwell. He has covered the America's Cup since 1983 as a journalist, and since 2010 as a photographer and journalist. He was the author of Lone Wolf, an account of the 2017 America's Cup, which was New Zealand's largest selling sports title of 2017.

As an accredited photographer, Gladwell was inside the course boundaries for every race and Practice Session from early December 2020 to mid-March 2021, covering every race in the America's Cup World Series, Prada Cup and America's Cup Match.

Each race of each race day is covered with a short report, leg margins for each race and over 100 images. Gladwell has reported on the 36th America's Cup since the cycle began in Bermuda in June 2017, and covered the AC75 class from its first launching.

Also included in Gulf Wars, is a quick look at the AC75 class, the AC75 capsizes, and Team New Zealand's 35 year history in the America's Cup - from the lodgement of the first Challenge in May 1984 to the present day.

Gulf Wars, the title is a play on words given that most of the racing took place on Auckland's Hauraki Gulf, is produced by Upstart Press, one of New Zealand's leading sporting publishers, with numerous best selling titles to their name.

Covering 48 pages plus the two inside covers, Gulf Wars has been published just over a week after the finish of the 10th and final race in the 36th America's Cup.

Gulf Wars is is a large format publication, printed on high quality gloss paper and will be an enduring record of one of the iconic America's Cups, contested in the fastest, most exciting yachts in 150 years of America's Cup racing.
