To celebrate the end of the third lockdown, Grafham Water Sailing Club is announcing a full programme of activity starting at Easter. The club has a busy season ahead and will be welcoming Optimists, Merlin Rockets, Flying Fifteens, RS600, Moths, D-Zeros and Solos for events during the 2021 season. The club is also hosting the ILCA Masters and RS200/400/800 inland championships.

Grafham Water is a well-established inland sailing venue in Cambridgeshire benefitting from a large 1600-acre lake and flat surrounding countryside. The club has a large clubhouse with bar and restaurant overlooking the lake. Families are well catered for with a cycle track around the lake and a playground and waterpark on the North shore.

The club offers sailing for all classes of dinghy, catamaran, keelboat and windsurfer. Class racing is held for ILCA/Lasers, Solos, D-Zeros and Flying Fifteens in addition to strong catamaran and asymmetric fleets. Club racing is held on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Always keen to welcome new members, the club is an RYA Training Centre, RYA OnBoard Club and British Youth Sailing Recognised Club, offering a busy racing programme and a wide range of other activities. The club also offer a 'Team Grafham' coaching programme for juniors, and an adult Tuesday social sailing section.

This summer the club is holding a week-long children's summer camp involving a range of water and land based fun activities and games. New for 2021 is a model yacht section and Stand-up paddleboard membership.

The club is starting the season on Saturday 3rd April with a Youth Regatta followed by a 4-week Restart Spring series starting for club sailors on Sunday 4th April.

The superb weather resulted in a strong turnout of 17 entries Gill once again supported the latest Dart 15 TT at Grafham on 9th March.
