Offshore yacht racing club, JOG, launches 'roadmap out of lockdown' racing programme

JOG (Junior Offshore Group) have launched the racing programme for 2021 based on government roadmap guidelines. All races until the end of May have been altered to long inshore day races to allow everyone to return to home ports.
The season will kick off on Friday 2nd April (Good Friday) with the One Sails Lonely Tower race; 145 boats took part last year making it South England's largest keelboat race in 2020. Well-known faces including Dee Caffari MBE on Sunfast 330, Gentoo, are already confirmed. It will be followed by another long inshore day race on Sunday, 4th April.
A crew limitation has been put in place of a maximum of 6, irrespective of family group considerations, for the early season racing until 21st June at the earliest, pending any further Governmental instructions or guidance from the RYA or external sources.
Race entry will be available on the JOG website from Monday, 8th March.
