This new course aims to help boat owners and skippers upskill crew to be competent on the bow and help improve boat performance. Peter Dowdney who has 30 years of bow experience provides inspiration and insight into what it takes, what you need to do to move from crew to bow.
Develop the skills and learn the tips to be a great bow person and reduce the on the job "trial and error"
Over two progressive modules, participants are provided with a mixture of classroom and practical demonstrations to build knowledge and confidence for both inshore and offshore racing.

The course runs May 12th (online), Sunday morning 16th and 30th May and then Wednesday evening 2nd June. With only 30 places, book or learn more here.
The core objectives of this course are to:
- Develop and upskill the next generation of bowmen and women.
- Raise the standard of crew work
- Assist and encourage crew to take on the bow with confidence and understanding
- Allow boat owners an avenue to train valuable crew, reducing lots of trial and error.
- Provide a more formal explanation of who and why things are done on the bow.
