RS Sailing has entered into a new partnership with British boat builder Gingerboats Racing Ltd. The collaboration will see Gingerboats Racing Ltd take on the manufacturing of the RS200, an iconic doublehander in the RS Sailing range and the UK dinghy racing scene.

With adrenaline packed racing and a lively social scene, the RS200 is one of the most popular two person sailboats of today. Perfect for moderate weight teams, it's a winner with mixed crews, young sailors and family teams at clubs, championships and on the RS Racing Circuit.

Established in 2011, Gingerboats Racing Ltd are known for their passion for building racing boats, using not only traditional methods, but also the latest in modern design and construction techniques from their busy workshop near Kewsick, Cumbria. Gingerboats Racing Ltd is going from strength to strength with their two Directors at the helm, Phil Hodgkins and Alex Leonard. The duo are renowned for building traditional dinghy racing classes, alongside leading development classes where attention to detail and quality are essential.

Phil Hodgkins, Gingerboats Racing Ltd Director commented, "We are excited to have partnered with RS Sailing, this is an opportunity not only to expand our one-design manufacturing but to also be a key part of one of the largest active racing classes in the UK. RS Sailing's desire to celebrate British manufacturing, sustainable practices and premium quality aligns with our own ambitions and we are looking forward to building the relationship with them."

With manufacturing already under way, the collaboration between RS Sailing and Gingerboats Racing Ltd marks an exciting time for the RS200 Class. With Championship attendance of over 100 boats the norm, sailors across the fleet looking to buy a new RS200 can expect continued high quality British manufacturing from this respected boat builder.

Jon Partridge, RS Sailing CEO commented, "We are really pleased to partner with Gingerboats Racing Ltd, they are a trusted British boat builder well-known for their passion and love for our sport. We believe that this is an exciting new era for the RS200 and the Class."
