Ullswater Sailing School, which runs learn-to-sail courses and taster sessions at award-winning Ullswater Yacht Club, has launched a new website for the 2021 season.

The Sailing School is an RYA Training Centre and has plans in place for a bumper course programme in 2021. Teaching is by its team of RYA-qualified instructors, some of them learned to sail at the club themselves, then moved on to pass their love of the sport on to others.

"We are all ready to go to introduce newcomers to sailing on our beautiful lake as soon as it is possible," said Sailing Manager Edmund Clarke. "This year it is expected that many people will go for 'staycations' and what better place to enjoy spending time in this country than at Ullswater, learning to sail with us."

Edmund explained that the Sailing School has a special section on Ullswater Yacht Club's website but it was felt that a separate site would help to showcase everything that is on offer as well provide an easy way to book online. The new site features details of all the RYA certificated courses and taster sessions that are available for booking. Ullswater Sailing School gift vouchers, to be redeemed for all or part of a sailing course or taster session, are also available to buy online.

Ullswater Sailing School runs RYA courses for all ages and levels of ability as well as offering expert help for those wanting to improve their skills. There are taster sessions, which are ideal for individuals or families wanting to experience sailing for the first time, and tailor-made courses can also be organised. The School has a fleet of boats ideally suited to those learning to sail. These boats are also available for hire. Newbie sailors have everything they need - sailing clothing and safety gear - provided, all they have to do is turn up to set sail for an on-the-water adventure.

The School is part of family-friendly Ullswater Yacht Club which is on the 'quiet' North-east shore of the lake between Pooley Bridge and Howtown with scenic waterside frontage.

Along with the new website, the Sailing School has launched a new logo for 2021 using the Ullswater Yacht Club logo's colours of yellow and blue. Visit the new website at www.ullswatersailingschool.com
