Tentative event dates for the 2021 Kiteboarding Season

Tentative dates for the 2021 season have been published on the individual class websites and on the overall IKA events calendar.

However, if we have learned anything in 2020, then it is the need to be flexible. The International Kiteboarding Association and it's classes anticipate running the following events. It is our goal to provide a safe competition environment for our athletes and staff and we will work within the parameters defined by each hosting country and regulatory body.

Formula Kite Class

  • Individual European Championship: 18 May - 24 May 2021, Montpellier (FRA)
  • Individual U19 World Championship: 19 Jul - 25 Jul 2021, Gizzeria (ITA)
  • Individual World Championship: 10 Sep - 18 Sep 2021 tbc, Weifang Binhai (CHN)
  • Mixed Team Relay European Championship: 27 Sep - 03 Oct 2021, Nafpaktos (GRE)
  • Mixed Team Relay World Championship: 11 Oct - 17 Oct 2021, Torregrande (ITA)
  • Mixed Team Relay U19 World Championship: TBC

Important note: the re-scheduled Trofeo Princesa Sofia in Palma overlaps with the class European Championship and the World Series event in Cagliari.

A's Youth Foil Class

  • European Championship: 18 May - 24 May 2021, Montpellier (FRA)
  • World Championship: 19 Jul - 25 Jul 2021, Gizzeria (ITA)

KiteFoil World Series

  • Act 1: 16 Jun - 20 Jun 2021, Traunsee (AUT) - 3 Star

All events are subject to the development of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Competitors and teams are advised not to make travel arrangements before the Notice of Race is published and event registration opened.
