Sleek looking OceanChef 3 Induction Cooker joins GN Espace galley line-up

by GNEspace 3 Feb 2021 09:17 GMT

UK-based specialist galley company GN Espace has introduced its most advanced onboard cooker to date, the OceanChef 3 Induction Cooker. The combined oven and hob, which are also both available as separate built in units, is the perfect cooking solution for boat owners looking to go fully electric on board.

The OceanChef 3 combines the benefits of induction cooking on the hob with the practical features of a multifunction oven. The result is a dedicated gimballed electric marine cooker that sets new standards in the galley and provides 'Home from Home' cooking capabilities on board.

The three-zone hob, which heats up just as quickly as any gas hob, is packed with features that make cooking a real joy, including a 2.5kW Boost function. There's room for three pans to be safely clamped, or choose the Dual zone bridge function for large fish-kettle cooking.

The fast heating Gastronorm-based multifunction oven is fully insulated and combines with the hob's energy management system to ensure a maximum load for the cooker of only 4.9kW. It has a powerful fan heating element that ensures even heat distribution throughout the cavity. A flush fitting grill gives extra height in the oven and the design allows you to cook on three levels at once. The cookware is held safely in place by the oven frame which also has a safety stop to avoid hot food accidentally sliding out of the oven when the door is opened. A unique ECO Fan setting reaches the most widely used oven temperature (180 degreesC) in less than half the time it takes for a traditional electric oven to reach its higher equivalent temperature, saving time and valuable electricity. The thermostat, however, allows for a top temperature of 250 degrees, perfect for live-aboards who like making bread.

The sleek looks of the OceanChef 3 can compete with any luxury home kitchen cooker but what sets it apart is the added marine safety features and a compact profile making it suitable for galleys in a wide range of sailing and motor vessels.

The OceanChef 3 Induction Cooker, along with the separate OceanChef Built-In Electric Oven and the Three-Zone Built-In Induction Hob, are available to order direct from GN Espace to boat-builders and end users alike.

The OceanChef 3 Induction Cooker dimensions are W50cm H48.7cm D51.4cm. Download the brochure for full details and specifications.
