2021 - Year of production for Nova Luxe

Here at Nova Luxe, we are ecstatic for the year ahead. Our journey to this point has been long and hard fought; but we are extraordinarily well-positioned for 2021 and beyond. Just two short years after designing and building our first boat, Nova Luxe has officially moved to the production phase for our ELITE 50 model.

Throughout this journey we have been overwhelmed with support and enthusiasm from the boating community and beyond - but this isn't to say that our path has been easy. Initially our idea for revolutionizing the market with electric yachts was met with scepticism and, at times, outright resistance. The nation's top yacht builders and designers told me they remembered trials of electric boats in the 90's, and the designs "never worked". "You'll see" they said. I couldn't understand why these industry experts were so resistant of, what we saw as, the obvious evolution of the pleasure boating industry. It became evident to me that the industry had been ignoring the revolutionary advances that were being made in electric motors and batteries each year.

In early 2018 we put our plans into action, and Nova Luxe's Aquila 44 debuted later that year. The design and build was a success, but we soon heard from segments of the industry that were not pleased with the inroads that we were making. Intimidation tactics and threats of legal action loomed over our fledgling business; but we couldn't be deterred. In fact, we took this as a sign that we were doing something right! We kept pushing forward - refining our designs, investing in our team, and forging new relationships with outside engineers and designers.

Now, more than two years later, we are staring down the barrel of 2021 with more enthusiasm and anticipation than ever before. The design for our latest project, the ELITE 50, was recently finalized and is expected to debut by December of this year. Most importantly, we are continuing to share our enthusiasm for electric boating with the larger community. We are kicking off our first event of the year at the St. Pete's boat show this weekend where we will be with our Aquila 50 (6' aft platform extension!). The extensions improve efficiency and also include a soaking tub at sea level!

Purchase the yacht or 50% share with the owner possible at St. Pete, January 14-17th.
