After two false starts, one caused by Lockdown 2 the other by Autumn gales, IOCA South's winter training programme finally got under way at Bosham Sailing Club.

Eighteen keen sailors from clubs across the South launched on cold crisp morning under the careful guidance of coaches Andy, Emmy and Zoe. Young sailors are very prone to cold hence short sharp sessions afloat with breaks for hot chocolate and warming up in Bosham's heated marquee where the order of the day.

The day finished with a couple of races enjoyed by the more experienced sailors. Everyone came ashore with a smile on their face at the end of the day, no mean feat in December for sailors aged 8 to 12!

Thanks to Bosham SC as always for being very hospitable hosts especially under the current circumstances, fingers crossed for the same conditions for the next session in January...
