The Weta Trimaran has been increasingly popular in 2020 and has hit another sales milestone with 1300 sold worldwide.

In Australia, interest has been from people looking for a fun, fast boat which can be sailed safely solo in almost any conditions but can also take the family and friends - when social distancing restrictions allow. At nearly 4m wide when launched (but only 2x4m stowed) the Weta is one of the few beach-launched boats that meets the 4sqM rule.

This flexibility, coupled with new updates from Weta Marine introduced this year - including the Self-Tacking Jib and Twin Tiller Extension kits - have made it even easier to sail. Particularly for those who want the thrill of sailing fast but without the spills.

The opening of the Queensland border has meant the first ever Australian National Titles will go ahead over New Year at Lake Cootharaba near Noosa, where over 25 boats are expected from around the country.
