This Saturday (21 November) sailing clubs across the UK will come together virtually for the RYA Affiliated Clubs Conference, supported by Gallagher.

The event is themed 'a different world with new opportunities' and is more accessible than ever before with almost 1,000 committee members and club volunteers already signed up through the easy- to -use platform.

Booking will close on Saturday at 9am. Book your place here

As clubs look ahead following the challenges of 2020, one of the highlights of the day will be a message from our President, The Princess Royal.

Hosted by double Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson, the programme of guest speakers also includes Sir Ben Ainslie and strategy expert Chris Grant.

In the afternoon clubs will be able to make the most of the online expo area with interactive 'stands' offering access to relevant RYA departments and Home Countries. It will be possible to book 1-1 appointments, take part in live text Q&As and access downloadable resources.

There will also be a 'virtual noticeboard' and videos from clubs across the UK will provide opportunities for delegates to share ideas and learn from others.

Webinar streams

Another benefit for delegates is the series of webinar 'workshops' commencing Monday 23rd November. Topics include recruiting and managing volunteers, environmental sustainability, reducing membership churn, engaging local communities, delivering a great experience to a wider audience, and promoting clubs to potential new members.

More information about the webinar steams and when they can be viewed is available on the booking forms here.

"We're absolutely delighted to have so many people already booked on to the conference. We hope delegates will leave with a greater understand of the opportunities ahead and the information to help make the right decisions moving forwards" explains RYA Regional Development Manager Gareth Brookes.

"For those who cannot attend on the day, please do sign up before 9am on Saturday in order to access the webinars. Those already booked on will be asked to select the webinars that they would like to attend following the event- so don't miss out!"
