GOST® (Global Ocean Security Technologies), a world leader in marine security, tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, announced today new antennas offering greater performance for its award-winning line of vessel tracking systems - the GOST IDP Series.

Inmarsat Data Pro (IDP) is the next generation of communication satellites that have been fully operational for several years. The new GOST IDP Series supports a wide range of greatly enhanced speed, security and location-based machine-to-machine (M2M) services. With 100x higher messaging capability, lower power consumption, 99.99% reliability as mandated by the IMO, global coverage with the exception of the poles and two-way satellite service, the new IDP Series offers customers the most reliable way to track their vessels from anywhere in the world.

The new IDP Series command and control interface is managed by the new GOST Specter tracking website launched earlier this year at the Miami Boat Show. Offering mobile and desktop access, the Specter interface offers a streamlined and user-friendly control of geo-fence monitoring and alerts, remote arm/disarm functionality, as well as real-time GPS tracking. The interface retains a 90-day tracking history and text/email alerts. It is also capable of monitoring multiple vessels for fleet management.

"We have been exclusively using only Inmarsat geostationary satellite constellations for the last 15 years as we require true reliability for our customers to track their most prized maritime assets," said Brian Kane, chief technology officer, GOST. "This is now the third generation of our tracking system and by far the most impressive, with near real-time global reaction to commands. The new IDP Series will give our customers the peace of mind that comes from having the most reliable and user-friendly global tracking systems on the market for years to come."
