SMB has recently been turbo charged with a keel and bulb weight reduction and also the addition all new carbon ECsix standing rigging. It's given her a massive weight reduction of 350kg which has really given her a new lease of life. The performance change has been impressive with a win at Festival of Sails (Geelong week) in January and missing the win by 1/2 point to Ichi Ban at Lincoln Race week, yes SMB 8.5 points to Ichi Ban 8 points. PAC 52 RIO

RIO 52 is designed by the famous design office of Judel Vrolijk & Co and built by Premier Composites. She was only launched in 2017 and is in amazing condition. With a hull shape based on the current Super Series TP52 boats, but with a lighter engine, more stability and a taller mast supporting more sail area she is certainly a rocket ship to sail. As well as being faster and more powerful than a standard TP, RIO is also an offshore capable structure, originally conceived to participate in the Transpac race to Hawaii, as well as many other coastal and offshore races.

Rowdy Too is the Ex Beau Geste built by Cookson Boats in NZ. As Beau Geste she won the IRC and ORCi world championships and just recently (2020) received a new keel fin and bulb package from Botin to bring her inline with the current 52 designs. Upgraded to foam core in the hull with a nomex deck. Extra longitudinals in the bow for offshore racing. Designed structurally to sail offshore races such as Sydney to Hobart, Fastnet, Transpac. Special care has been taken to make the boat water tight. Spare offshore rudder included. The boat has the option to drive with tiller or wheels. Complete Inventory of North 3Di sails included.

Bought by the current owner in 2010 this boat has constantly been upgraded to maximise her performance under IRC. All work was designed by JV and carried out by Hakes Marine employees. New keel bulb and bowsprit in 2010. Forward watertight bulkhead and mid bow ring frame for offshore 2010. Mast changed 2013. EC6 rigging 2013. Side decks extended aft 2015. All lead removed from internal and keel fin 2016. Very competitive both inshore and offshore, recently Overall Winner of the HK to Vietnam Race in October 2019.
