A 'Blast' is a weekend where we don't let a race course get in the way of enjoying our boats, and we were not to be disappointed. Bright sunshine and 15 knots greeted the eight cherubs for the first event of the year.

As well as the six fleet regulars it was nice to see the return of Dan's Boat and Little Chilli.

After a day full of boat swapping, and joy rides, we retired to the Grafham Water clubhouse for an evening meal and a few drinks, sitting around discussing the developments we were planning on our boats for the forthcoming season.

The next morning dawned to a slight drop in wind strength, and following a hearty breakfast the sailing continued.

All in all a weekend of big smiles and sunburn.

Our thanks go to Grafham Water for all their help in making sure the event could run, and in particular Lisa and her catering team who kept us fed and watered throughout the weekend.
