Luca Devoti, (57, Verona, Italy, based in Spain since 2005) is an aspiring candidate for Vice-Presidency of the 2020-2024 World Sailing Board.

He is committed to shifting sailing to be a new sustainable sport.

Devoti is an Italian Finn Silver Medalist and former America's Cup skipper, with the assistance of his 17yr old daughter, who is studying media, he is putting together a series of webinars covering the major issues in Sailing.

In this webinar Silvia Mas, Martine Grael, Sofia Bekatorou, Tania Elías and Shirley Robertson discuss their experiences and past aspirations and how they achieved these and their pathways - which are not always in the traditional route.

"Let’s talk about women in Sailing", has the purpose to spread the word on the importance of searching for a gender equal, inclusive and feasible landscape for sailing.

And how would you increase women’s participation in sailing?

The next webinar on August 19 at 1700UTC, Lars Grael a double Olympic medallist, will illustrate to us about his personal life and experiences as one of the best Brazilian Sailors who shifted into politics after losing a leg in a sailing incident.

He will explain about Project Grael which is a sailing school with the objective of democratising young people's access to the practice of sailing and, thus, contributing to the social transformation in the lives of its beneficiaries.
