Sail Canada, in partnership with Ontario Sailing, Alberta Sailing Association, Sail Manitoba, Fédération de voile du Québec, Sail Nova Scotia, and BC Sailing are proud to announce a 2020 Regional Youth Olympic Training Seminar program.

2020 has been a year of the unknown. With this year's Sail Canada Youth Championships, and the National Youth Olympic Training Seminar (YOTS) being cancelled (as well as most other competitions) the Canadian coaching community recognizes the ongoing need to provide ongoing enhanced training opportunities in these times.

With this in mind Sail Canada, after consulting our provincial and club partners have created a series of Regional YOTS seminars across Canada. This will allow for our young sailors to receive a 2-3 day clinic in their region focused on increasing skill and knowledge. A focus for these regional clinics in 2020 will be introducing data analytics and objectively evaluating GAPs in athletes racing skills through technology.

Each province/has or will be selecting appropriate dates for these seminars and while we hope as many athletes as possible in each region will participate, limits on group size will be put in place with each region's general regional COVID guidelines in mind.

Applications to the seminars will be reviewed and accepted by the Provincial Sailing Associations.
