Ocean Safety has made a key internal promotion, appointing Steve Bockett to Head of Technical Sales Support.

Steve steps up to the newly created role to lead both Ocean Safety's Internal Sales and Training teams. Explaining the advantages of combined leadership for both teams, Ocean Safety's Managing Director Alistair Hackett comments: "Our Sales and Training departments can work side by side to deliver a cohesive service to our customers which ensures they receive the best advice and technical knowledge, an approach that will cement our position as recognised marine safety experts."

This dynamic change takes place at Ocean Safety at a time when the company is moving rapidly to adapt to new practices in the wake of travel restrictions. Alistair explains: "While the level and standard of training we deliver to our service stations will not change, Steve will be tasked by our Training Team to lead a modified approach as we invest in the development of new technology to run remote training courses for the foreseeable future."

Steve, who is based in the company's Southampton office, has over ten years of management experience at Ocean Safety. He was originally the Servicing Manager before moving to his most recent role of Training and Technical Services Manager.

Sales Director Mark Acaster comments "I am thrilled that Steve is taking on this new role. He has a vast library of marine safety knowledge. This, coupled with a demonstrable track record in sales prior to joining Ocean Safety, will ensure we are able to offer customers outstanding service and technical product understanding."
